Event Overview
The 25th Central and Eastern European Forum returned to Vienna on 14th and 15th January. Dominant themes for this year's Forum included the potential of sustainable and responsible capital markets in the CEE region, the implications of trade wars, and the end of Libor.
The opening morning began with an address from Jürgen Rigterink, First Vice President and Head of Client Services Group, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Next, Ministers from Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Uzbekistan joined us for informative and engaging keynote interviews on their country economic developments. If you missed them, recordings will be available for you to watch shortly.
For the esteemed monetary policy session on day two, we welcomed Central Bank Governors from many countries in the region including: Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, North Macedonia, Moldova and Georgia.
Overall, 21 sessions covered topics including macroeconomics, corporate finance, digitalisation, monetary policy, CEE banking, sustainable finance, and much more. Just one highlight included the 25th anniversary celebrations held at Raiffeisen Bank International.
A big thank you goes to all our sponsors for their continued support. We look forward to seeing you all again in Vienna on 13-14 January 2021 for the 26th Central and Eastern European Forum.
