Event Overview

Euromoney Conferences, GlobalCapital and our co-host, the ECBC, have been closely monitoring the developments regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and due to the evolving Coronavirus situation, we have made the decision to postpone The Global Issues Roundtable. The health and safety of all participants is of utmost importance to us and therefore we believe this is the most appropriate action to take. Should you have queries in the meantime, please email our customer services team: rsvp@euromoneyplc.com

The Global Issues Roundtable, hosted by GlobalCapital and the European Covered Bond Council (ECBC), will bring together senior stakeholders from the international covered bond community. Gathering issuers, investors and intermediaries, as well as senior-level policymakers and regulators, this interactive roundtable discussion will provide participants with the ideal opportunity to review the latest developments in the covered bond markets globally, as well as to explore the latest developments in the Greek market in particular.

Topics to be covered will include the global development of covered bonds and an update on the activities of the ECBC Global Issues Working Group (GIWG). We will also look at the global implications of the European Covered Bond Directive and third country equivalence. The agenda will also explore developments in sustainable finance in the covered bond market and will provide an update on the EMF-ECBC Energy Efficiency Mortgages Initiative (EEMI). We will also take a look at the use of covered bonds in Greece, following the banking crisis.

GlobalCapital and ECBC will also hold a cocktail reception after the close of the ECBC Plenary meeting, on the evening of Wednesday 29th April, which all Plenary and Roundtable attendees are welcome to attend. To register to attend, please contact: rsvp@euromoneyplc.com
